The Melange Platter

Well, if you are the one who loves to gormandize, then you are in luck. This recipe is bound to find a route to your heart. Lest we forget the foodies who are on a ceaseless journey for haute cuisine, this is to be your delightful respite.


Let's get started!


Chicken Fagara


"The What"

Chicken Breasts (2 pieces)

• Szechuan Sauce, Red Pasta sauce

• Honey

• Salt

• Egg

• Sunflower Oil

• Paprika powder


"The How"

• Beat an egg. Add salt, one tsp honey, tasteful quanity of szecheuan sauce, pasta sauce, paprika powder and ginger garlic paste

• Marinate the chicken in the mixture for 20 mins

• Heat a pan with 2 teaspoon of sunflower oil and broil till the chicken is fully cooked

• Pour some wine into the chicken to suit your taste-buds and slow cook for 5 mins before serving


Frizzled Egg Rice


"The What"

• 1 cup of preferred rice

• 2 eggs

• pepper

• salt

• butter/oil


"The How"

• Wash your preferred choice of rice and cook it in a pressure cooker till 3 whistles. (make sure to not overcook the rice)

• Keep the rice aside for 10 mins

• Heat a pan and pour 2 tsp butter/oil

• Add 2 eggs and salt. Fry till cooked properly

• Add the rice into the pan and mix well at a medium flame

• Add few sprinkles of black pepper powder and saute for 2-3 mins before serving


Mashed Potatoes


"The What"

• One Potato

• Salt

• Pepper


"The How"

• Boil the potato and cut into small dices

• Put the diced potatoes into a blender. Add salt, pepper and a tsp butter.

• Blend till thick consistency


Sauteed Vegetables

"The What"

• Broccoli florets

• Carrots

• French Beans

• Any other vegetable of your choice


"The How"

• Microwave the veggies in water for 10 minutes

• Heat pan and add one tsp butter

• Add the microwaved veggies with a tsp salt and saute till cooked

Now, the final step where you create the Melange Platter. Serve the cooked aliments on the platter and here you are ready with a dinner for two. Oh! don't forget to serve it with a glass of wine (or maybe cold drink 😛)
