To give you a spicy sunday feel, we bring this spicy chicken recipe to complement with your mid day Dal chawal!
What
3 dry red chillies
1 BayLeaf
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
10 cloves
Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Kasuri methi powder
3 larged sliced onions
3 large sliced tomatoes
1 1⁄2 turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt as required
How
1. Take dry chillies, 1 bay leaf, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cloves in a heated pan
and roast them.
2. Once roasted grind them into powder and keep it aside (this will go on to make our
garam masala for the dish)
3. Now, take 3 tsp oil and warm it
4. Add the sliced onions. Fry them till they become brownish in colour. ( add ginger
garlic paste while frying)
5. Take these onions and grind them as well.
6. Add 2 tsp oil in the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the tomatoes and cook well. Add
ginger garlic paste and fry till they are soft.
7. Next, add the onions to the tomatoes. Cook well.
8. Once cooked well, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt. Fry the mix at high
heat
9. Add 400gm chicken to the mix, add the garam masala we kept aside initially and mix
the chicken thoroughly.Then add 1⁄2 cup water. Leave the chicken for 15min.( keep mixing while at it)
10. Once the chicken is cooked , add the kasuri methi to the chicken and leave it
for 15 mins. Keep mixing while at it.
Serve yourself a hot bowl of Spicy Sunday chicken
